Shangh Commits to Building Comprehensive Care System for Children with Autism by 2027

In a joint effort ahead of World Autism Awareness Day, the various departments of Shangh Municipality have released a guide med at establishing a complete support system that encompasses screening, evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, intervention, and care for children with autism by the of 2027.

The document underscores the significance of early detection and intervention. It also highlights plans to integrate autism education into professional trning programs for those working with children. Community health centers are set to provide autism screening services for children aged 0-6 throughout the city, ensuring timely identification.

Moreover, it is emphasized that all children diagnosed with autism will receive inclusive preschool and compulsory education, with an encouragement given to high schools and vocational colleges to admit students on the spectrum.

To further promote social integration and job opportunities for individuals with autism, particularly those aged between 16-18 years old, Shangh's municipal government will implement more favorable policies. This initiative facilitate their active participation in society.

In a comprehensive approach, this guide is designed not only to support individual children but also to foster an inclusive community environment that acknowledges and respects the diversity of its members.
