Pediatrix Medical Group's CREQS: Advancing Healthcare through Research and Innovation
Read: 2013
Research plays a pivotal role in advancing healthcare practices and improving patient outcomes. Pediatrix Medical Group recognized this importance by establishing the Center for Research, Education, Quality and Safety CREQS. The organization is committed to advancing care for patients across all ages through continuous research that improve treatment methods and healthcare knowledge.
The recent Pediatric Academic Societies PAS meeting exemplified our commitment. At this conference, Pediatrix-affiliated physicians and other clinicians contributed to nearly 50 presentations that covered topics like improving neonatal antibiotic administration time, enteral nutritional practices for extremely premature infants, and reducing delay in initiating skin-to-skin contact after birth.
The dedication of these healthcare professionals coupled with the support from CREQS has nurtured an environment focused on quality improvement and patient safety. This commitment to research is foundational to our success and enables us to fulfill our mission of providing exceptional care every day for every patient.
CREQS offers centralized operational support, including administrative assistance, educational trning, and management of clinical trials that are conducted by our investigators and research staff.
We take pride in fostering a culture where continuous improvement drives innovation in healthcare practices. This is facilitated through the Research Advisory Committee RAC, which helps design, implement, and mntn a robust program for clinical research oversight and support. The RAC comprises professionals from various disciplines including finance, legal, and compliance experts who ensure our research efforts are safe, effective, financially viable, and legally compliant.
By pooling resources and expertise across the country through the RAC, we enhance our understanding of healthcare needs and opportunities, leading to more informed decision-making. Our affiliated physicians have collectively published over 1,000 scholarly papers within the past two decades.
Our commitment to clinical excellence is further manifested by the extensive educational and professional development programs offered online and during live sessions. Through platforms like CloudCME, an accredited provider of continuing medical education for physicians by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education ACCME, we support healthcare providers worldwide in meeting their educational needs.
Moreover, our Pediatrix Neonatology Grand Rounds webinar series tackles critical issues that shape neonatal medicine practices monthly. These webinars are free and held on the first Wednesday of every month from 4 to 5 p.m. Eastern Time.
We are proud of our efforts to advance healthcare through research and are committed to supporting clinicians in their professional growth. For more information about our ongoing studies, please visit our CREQS website.
