HKS and PerkinsWill Transform Pediatric Care with $5B Dallas Campus Expansion

HKS and PerkinsWill are pioneering the transformation of pediatric care with a revitalized campus in Dallas, Texas for Children's Health and UT Southwestern Medical Center. Selected to address the escalating demand for children's healthcare services across North Texas, these architects m to create one of the most impactful pediatric hospitals in the United States.

The new pediatric campus will replace the existing facility at Children’s Health Hospital in Dallas. This joint venture by HKS and PerkinsWill promises a $5 billion investment that is poised to increase inpatient capacity by 38, with an addition of 552 beds across approximately 4.5 million square feet. The construction timeline suggests completion within the next six to seven years.

Rachel Knox, who leads health practice at HKS as a partner based out of Dallas, HKS and PerkinsWill are the largest healthcare architecture practices in this region. Construction will commence in the latter half of 2024, setting the stage for groundbreaking improvements in pediatric healthcare facilities within this community.
