When to Visit Your Pediatrician?

Infants Toddlers:

• Well-baby care: Our team provides necessary vaccinations, developmental screenings, circumcision, frenectomy for tongue-tie and manage issues such as jaundice, feeding problems and respiratory concerns.

• High-risk infant follow-ups: For babies with potential neurological or developmental challenges, we offer specialized evaluations and referrals at our NICU Follow-Up and Early Development Clinic.

• Lactation Support: We provide several options to support your breastfeeding journey:

  • Att a lactation visit in La Jolla or Kearny Mesa with one of our certified pediatricians.

  • Enroll in our Premature Infant Nutrition Clinic PINC in Kearny Mesa for optimal nutrition guidance for premature infants who have recovered from intensive care.

  • Join our Breastfeeding Clinics in Kearny Mesa and La Jolla for support, especially if your child has chronic health conditions or risks related to feeding.

Children Adolescents:

• Well-child care: This includes annual schoolathletic physicals, vaccinations and developmental screenings.

• Chronic condition management: If you have a child with long-term conditions like cystic fibrosis, diabetes, congenital heart disease, asthma or gastrointestinal issues, our pediatricians work closely to provide comprehensive care.

• Developmental-behavioral pediatrics: We provide expert advice for children facing developmental challenges and behavioral issues.

Convenient Care Options:

• UC San Diego Pediatrics is conveniently located at La Jolla and Kearny Mesa clinics, as well as over 160 affiliated providers through Children's Primary Care Medical Group CPCMG. Saturday appointments are avlable at our La Jolla clinic.

• If you prefer your child to receive medical care from home or need flexibility due to mobility issues, we offer video visits. Your child’s pediatrician can set this up for you.
