Our team serves as problem solvers employing -centered design to identify pn points within the delivery of pediatric care. We then apply cutting-edge technology alongside establishedto create, test, and deploy solutions that enhance patient outcomes.

We innovate patient-focused care frameworks designed to ensure every child in Los Angeles has access to high-quality pediatric healthcare services.
Technology Advancement
By bringing together technologists at the forefront of innovation with healthcare challenges, we m to address issues prevalent within pediatric healthcare systems while meeting current needs and future demands.
Idea Incubation
We support innovators from Children's Hospital LA CHLA by assessing their ideas based on feasibility, desirability, and viability. We then nurture promising ideas into practical prototypes for implementation.

The Innovation Studio’s Digital Health Lab accelerates the development of innovative digital health technologies specifically designed for pediatric medicine:
Digital Therapeutics: Improving traditional therapies like physical therapy, speech therapy, behavioral health treatments, chronic pn management, and more by integrating technology.
Clinical Education and Simulation: Enhancing access to and effectiveness of clinical education and trning through technological advancements.
Patient and Provider Experience: Reimagining care experiences using digital technologies.
Connected Care
Through the Connected Care program at Children's Hospital Los Angeles CHLA, we are leveraging technology to expand access to top pediatric healthcare services, including virtual appointments and online second opinions.
The West Coast Consortium f and Innovation in Pediatrics
Building on our work, The West Coast Consortium f and Innovation in Pediatrics supports the development and commercialization of medical devices specifically designed for vulnerable pediatric populations since its establishment by USC and CHLA in 2011.
KidsX.Health
Founded and administrated by the CHLA Innovation Studio, KidsX.Health is an international consortium that unites pediatric hospitals to improve digital health innovation through collaboration. They host an annual accelerator program in Glale, California, where top digital health startups receive mentorship from leading pediatric institutions.
Mental Well-being for Teens
In partnership with stakeholders, we m to create equitable access to mental and emotional health screenings, interventions, and services that are scalable and culturally relevant for teens across Los Angeles.
Patient-Centered Diabetes Care
With a focus on patient-centric approaches, we strive to enhance diabetes management experiences for children, their families, improve provider-patient communication, self-efficacy, literacy, data integration, and device compatibility.
