The Department of Cardiology at Boston Children's Hospital’s Berson Family Heart Center is dedicated to helping heart patients live healthier lives. Founded in 1949 by one doctor, our department now boasts an extensive team of hundreds of cardiologists, nurses, advanced practice clinicians, child life specialists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals. Our specialized programs span across four mn areas: fetal care, neonatal cardiology, pediatric cardiology, and adult congenital heart disease.

Our mission is to provide the highest quality care for patients with congenital or pediatric heart diseases – from the earliest stages of development through adulthood – including rare and complex cases that are at the forefront of global medical research.
